The Who Traveling To North And South America For Their Tour

It was in 2015 when The Who decided to get back on the road and they have been busy ever since because of their The Who Hits 50! tour. They will resume their tour this summer and according to their manager, they will be touring South America for the very first time since they started.

Bill Curbishley, the long-time manager of the group, went on as a guest at the BBC Radio London’s Gary Crowley last January 27. The program he was in was called My London and he talked about his experience in being part of the British music scene for several years knowing that he has managed various classic rock artists such as Judas Priest, Golden Earring, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. He discussed that The Who will have seven upcoming dates in the UK between March 30 and April 12. Curbishley also revealed that he is also busy planning dated for the North American tour which will be happening later this year between August and September. At the same time, he expressed his disbelief that the group will be traveling to South America for the first time.

He said that South Americans are great audiences thus he expected the shows to be fantastic. They will have three shows in Brazil for the month of September, another one in Chile while Buenos Aires will also witness one show. He relayed that they have played in Mexico City last year in October during their Desert Trip and he considered it as a surreal experience. After that show, he revealed that Pete Townshend said he now knows why Curbishley have been pushing to play in South America. In the last few years, Curbishley is the one managing the themed tours done by The Who but he does not say anything specific about the tour dates.

It was last year in July when The Who made an announcement about a series of concerts they will be having in the UK in celebration of Tommy. If you want to catch them in South America, it is the perfect time to book a tour package during their concert dates. Booking can be easily done via online websites such as www.southamericatours.com.au.
